High Tea with a Texas Twist

PLANO, Texas — Patti's Place on Coit Road in Plano, Texas serves up a Texas Tea you won't forget. Replete with fresh baked goods and delicious lunch specials, Patti's Victorian Tea House provides not only a tasty assortment of treats but also a unique environment. Texan furniture off-set by fine china and antique lace curtains. Upstairs locals-in-the-know come early and work with free WiFi access while sipping decadent fresh-roasted flavored speciality coffees made on-site daily and devouring fresh-baked pastries.

A daily limited lunch menu is available, as are regular high-teas; but space is limited. Lunches are first come-first serve and reservations are required for their high tea events. Patti's also caters special events and the entire beautifully restored historic home can be reserved for private teas or events such as bridal showers. The homemade pies and cakes are available for purchase in Patti's bake shop daily are sure to wow friends and family, so only the bravest dare try pass them off as their own.

On our surprise visit, the wait staff was excellent as was the food. A personal favorite; the Red, White, and Blue Salad, though everything we ordered was top-notch. Also try their gourmet iced and hot flavored teas, voted best tea in Dallas by "D" magazine.

Fresh roses adorn the tables as sun streams through lace-decked windows of this historical-registered treasure. As a long-standing DFW residents, we were lucky to discover Patti's Place, as it has limited exposure other than its website and word-of-mouth.

Getting there
Patti's is located at Coit Road, between Park and Parker. From 75 Northbound: take the Park Road exit, turn left under the underpass, drive west and turn left on Coit Road. Patti's Place will be on your left, you can't miss it's Victorian visage and picket fence. From Dallas North Tollway: take the Park exit and turn right and keep driving until you turn left on Coit. Patti's will be on the left.

Lunch is served Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with limited seating on Tuesday and Saturday due to High Tea reservations, which may be made by calling 972-612-4828.
